Research Scientist Application – CatModeling & Resilience

The Catastrophe Modeling Center at Lehigh University is seeking to fill a position for a Research Scientist in the general fields of Catastrophe Modeling and Resilience. The research scientist will join the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science at Lehigh and will report to Dr. Paolo Bocchini. The Research Scientist will join the activities of the Center and an interdisciplinary team of scholars (faculty, postdocs, and students) working on various aspects of catastrophe modeling and resilience enhancement. The Research Scientist will perform independent and collaborative research, develop innovative new approaches, maintain and update the codebase of the Center, prepare research presentations and scientific publications. In collaboration with the leadership and the faculty of the Center, the Research Scientist will engage partners in industry, government, and academia, and will be involved in the preparation of research proposal and the management of research projects.
